Delegates attending the 2015 AWiA conference will need to make their own travel arrangements.

Getting There

Travelling to Alice Springs is as easy as 1,2 and 3! You can travel by plane, trains, buses or automobiles.

Qantas Airlines departs all major capitals daily to Alice Springs.

Virgin Australia departs several major capital cities daily including Darwin, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

The iconic Ghan travels from Darwin or Adelaide twice weekly. Check out the Great Southern Railway website for travel dates, timetables and costs of travel.

Greyhound Australia buses also travel to Alice Springs. Details are available from the Greyhound Australia website.

Airport Transfers

The Alice Springs Airport shuttle bus service is operated by Alice Wanderer Airport Transfers operates for all scheduled flights in to and out of Alice Springs.  The shuttle bus will transfer passengers between the airport and town centre, picking up and dropping off passengers from local hotels, hostels and their office on Todd Street, opposite Tourism Central Australia.

Airport Transfers to and from the major accommodation venues is $16 per person or $11 per person if you’re travelling in a group of 4.

Hire Cars

A full range of vehicles are available for a hire from the Airport.

These include Avis, Budget, Thrifty, Europcar and Hertz.
